Office Manager

Sarah Adkinson holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Georgia and a master’s degree in Library and Information Science from Valdosta State University. Prior to joining Athens Oconee Audiology, she worked in insurance and records management. At AOA, she handles insurance billing and coding, patient records and accounts, and HIPAA compliance. She is available to answer patient questions about how insurance benefits apply to service and assist patients in obtaining reimbursements from insurance carriers. She is also our HIPAA privacy and security officer and ensures that patient information is held in the strictest of confidence and records are maintained according to current federal documentation and privacy regulations. Sarah enjoys reading, making homemade soap, and spending time with her family!
