VEDA Support Group October 17

A new support group for Northeast Georgia residents suffering from vertigo, imbalance, and dizziness as a result of debilitating inner ear disorders will hold its inaugural meeting in Athens on Saturday, October 17th at 10 a.m. at Athens Regional Medical Center. The Northeast Georgia Vestibular Support Group will foster the following goals: * to provide a support network for people coping with balance disorders, dizziness, vertigo, motion intolerance, and other related problems * to provide a resource for information and services * to educate the public about vestibular disorders and their effects. Dr. Ronald L. Steenerson, nationally known neurotologist and head of the Atlanta Ear Clinic, will be the guest speaker. With 30 years experience in the field, Steenerson is considered a pioneer in the diagnosis and development of cutting edge treatments for various medical disorders of vestibular dysfunction. The Ida Institute is dedicated to facilitating a better understanding of the human dynamics associated with hearing loss.
